iThera Medical is looking for 15 sonographers in the greater Boston area to be involved in a usability study for an optoacoustic medical imaging system.

Space is limited!

About Optoacoustic imaging:

  • The MSOT Acuity Echo by iThera uses short laser pulses to excite light-absorbing tissue molecules which then emit ultrasound signals.
  • These ultrasound signals are collected by an ultrasound detector and processed to create a map of optical absorbance at a given wavelength.
  • By changing the laser wavelength, a spectroscopic analysis of the tissue composition can be performed, providing information about progression of various diseases.

  • The unique capability of this imaging technique is to combine optical contrast with the depth and resolution of ultrasound imaging.
